“I have an extra ticket to the Jacob Wilson show tonight, do you want to go with me?” Chelsea asks her friend, Abby. “What the hell were you thinking when you bought your ticket? Why buy 2?” “Well… I didn’t buy them, I won them and I was hoping you would go with me. I’m telling you, you will love it.” “I don’t know. This whole reality star thing…” “I swear to you, he isn’t the guy you saw on TV. Please?? I’m begging,” Chelsea says. Abby laughs, “Okay, okay. I’ll go with you. Damn, stop whining.” She laughs, “I also get to go to a meet and greet before the show.” “How did you manage that?” “I won it with the tickets,” she says with a grin. “And I need someone to go with me that can take good pictures without going all fantard on me.” "Fantard?" "Yeah, you know, you see someone you are a fan of and you freak out then start screaming and aren't able to think like a human anymore." Abby laughs, “So I’m it?” “Yep. Thanks so much, I’ll buy you a beer after the show.” “Sounds great. So where are we going to?” “I don’t know yet. We’ll see how it goes and decide from there. I’m going to leave now, go change and I’ll pick you up at your house.” “Okay. I’ll see you in a little bit.”

Chelsea clocks out and walks out to her car. “HOLY SHIT!” She screams to herself when she gets in her car. “I’M GOING TO MEET JACOB WILSON! AHHHH!!” He is her all time favorite musician. Her phone rings. She picks it up, before being able to answer, Abby yells, “Stop sitting in the parking lot thinking about it. You have to get ready.” Chelsea laughs, “Thanks, Abby. I’m going.” She tosses her phone over into the passenger seat and turns the radio up. She backs out of the parking spot and drives home. She takes a shower, fixes her hair and goes through her closet trying on different clothes. She looks at herself in the mirror. “This is it!” A brown spaghetti strap mini dress. She picks out a pair of brown strappy heels to go with the dress. Her phone rings as she grabs her camera. “Hello?” “Are you coming?” “Yeah I’m on my way.” “Took you forever to decide on something to wear?” “No, well… maybe. Okay it did.” Abby laughs. “Get your ass to your car and get over here. You have a meet and greet to get to.” “On my way out the door.” She grabs her purse, checking to make sure the tickets are in there, as she walks out the door of her house. She gets in the car and drives over to Abby’s.

As she pulls in her driveway she calls Abby. “I’m here, get out here.” She laughs. “What did people do without cell phones? Wait that’s right they would knock on people’s doors.” They both laugh, Chelsea hangs up the phone. Abby walks out and gets in the car.

She drives to the venue where Jacob Wilson and his band are playing. Chelsea takes a deep breath and gets out of the car. She and Abby walk toward the front doors. “I want to walk around by the buses,” Chelsea says. “In those shoes, please tell me you brought something to change into.” She laughs. “I didn’t, but I look really good, right?” “Well, yeah, it's cute, just thinking about how your feet are gonna be feeling by the time the night is done.” “You will listen to me bitch about it FOREVER.” “No doubt,” she says with a grin. “Lets go this way,” Chelsea says as she grabs her arm and pulls her along as she walks toward the back of the building.

They walk around the back and spot the buses. “Oh my God…” Chelsea gasps. “There are the buses.” “Yeah… ummm… they kinda have to be here, right?” Abby says shaking her head. “You’ve got to get it together. Don’t make a fucking idiot out of yourself.” “You’re right. Okay… I can do this.” Chelsea says as they walk down to the bus.

Paul walks off the bus. He walks over toward Chelsea and Abby. "How are you?" Chelsea asks him. "I'm doing good. Thank you for asking. How are you lovely ladies?" "We are good," Abby says. "I'm going to assume you are going to be at the show tonight." "We are." "I'll be looking for you then," He says as he walks off.

"He was checking you out, Abby." Abby laughs, "Yeah... Okay... Whatever." They stand by the buses a little longer without seeing anyone else.

"Come on," Chelsea says, "Its almost time for the meet and greet. You are in charge of getting good pictures for me." She shakes her head. "It's good to know I'm good for something." “Yeah, do you really think I’d just drag you along for nothing?” They both laugh. “Well. I know how much you like Jacobs’s music. I’m gonna try.” “You will love it,” Chelsea says as they make their way to the front door, “I’m so glad this is a seated show.” “Why is that?” “Because you’re ass would have been sitting with me all damn day for a good spot.” “Screw that shit.” “Done it before and would totally do it again.”

The door opens and a man steps out. “Are you all here for the meet and greet?” he asks. Chelsea looks around, there are about 10 other people. Everyone says yes. “Okay, follow me,” he says as he leads them into the building. He leads everyone to a conference room that has tables set up with finger foods and punch.

Chelsea learns that the guy’s name is Ron. He goes over a few do’s and don’ts. “Do not act inappropriately or you will be removed from the meet and greet.” Abby elbows Chelsea. “Better behave.” Chelsea giggles. “Now if you will please welcome Mr. Wilson.” Jacob walks in followed by Nate, Austin, Paul and Mike. As he walks in, her eyes roam over his body. His brown hair, with just a slight red tint, his beard, his lips look so plump. His arms are muscular, his thighs, she could stare at them all day. She lets her eyes come back up and meet his. There is a sparkle in the hazel green eyes. “You all can mingle around the room. Please be considerate that there are other people here that want to meet Mr. Wilson.” “Please, call me Jake.” Jacob says.

Everyone gets up and starts a line for Jake. Chelsea makes her way toward Austin. “We’ll go this way and then come back around.” Abby shakes her head. “Okay.” They walk over to Austin. “Hello,” He says with a smile. “Hi Austin. Thanks for coming for the meet and greet.” “Well, your welcome.” “Can I just say that I love your music?” She says referring to his independent solo record. “You’ve listened to my stuff?” “Of course I have,” Chelsea says, “Can I give you a hug and have a picture with you?” “Of course you can,” He says as he opens his arms up and wraps them around her. Abby starts snapping pictures. Chelsea then turns and they both smile for the picture. “Thank you Austin.” “Thank you for being a fan.” He grins at Chelsea. They walk off and make their way around to Nate, Paul and Mike. After chatting and taking pictures with each of them, Abby grabs Chelsea’s arm. “Okay time to meet Jake.” Chelsea takes a deep breath and walks toward him.

He looks up at her as she walks toward him. He grins. He sticks his hand out to her, “Hi, I’m Jake.” Chelsea takes a breath. “Speak,” Abby says. Jake laughs. “Sorry,” Chelsea says as she takes his hand, “I’m Chelsea.” “Well, Hello Chelsea. I’m pleased to meet you.” “I’m honored to get to meet you.” She takes a breath. “Don’t go fantard,” Abby whispers in her ear. “I’m a huge fan. Your music touches me and I love it.” “Well, thank you very much. Tell me a little about yourself.” She looks at him blankly. “You know, like where you work, if you work. Where you’re from?” “Oh yeah, sorry. I’m a local girl. I live here. Over on… Wait you don’t need or want to know my address.” He interrupts her, “You never know when I may pop up,” He says with a laugh. “I’m a nurse.” “Oooo… A nurse? Do
you wear those sexy uniforms?” “Ummm… Not like what you’re thinking about, but I can do that for a special person. You want to be him?” Abby nudges her. “Don’t be doing that…” She says. “She is fine,” Jake says, “I started it. So you’re a local. That means you know about good bars.” “I guess so,” Chelsea says with a smile. “So where is a good place to go?” “A couple of blocks from here,” She says as she points, “Wait, I’m turned around in here. Ummm from where the bus is, you go left like 2 blocks and there is a place called Dexter’s. Great place.” “Thanks for the info on that, I’ll have to check it out while were in town.” He smiles at her. “So would you like a hug?” He asks her. ‘Him asking ME for a hug…’ “That would be great,” She says. He wraps his arms around her and pulls her in to him tightly for a hug. Abby is snapping pictures. “Stop with the pics for a minutes please,” Jake says to her. “Okay. Sorry, Mr. Wilson.” “I’m Jake. Do you mind to give me a couple of minutes?” “Not at all,” Abby says as she walks off. Chelsea starts to walk away. “Not you, you’re not going anywhere yet.” She looks at him blankly. “I’m so sorry if I did something to upset you.” “You did nothing to upset me. I’m thinking you should meet me at Dexter’s after the show. Keep it quiet. Tell no one. Oh and bring your friend. I think a friend of mine would like to meet her,” He says with a grin. “Okay. Thank you, Jake.” “Thank you, Chelsea. I look forward to seeing you after the show. Don’t keep me waiting.”

He speaks loudly, “Thank you all for coming. I’ll see you at the show.” He waves and they all walk out of the room.

Abby walks over to Chelsea. “What was that all about?” “I can’t tell you right now. I’ll tell you later.” “You’ll forget.” “I promise you, I will never forget that conversation.” “Oh, must have been good. Did he think you was a hooker?” She smacks her arm. “No, he didn’t offer to pay me for any services.” “Oh so you offered services for free.” Chelsea laughs. “If only that were the case.” She sighs. “Do you realize how many people he has been with?” “Yeah, and I don’t care. If I had the chance to be ‘one of those girls,’ I would so do it.” “Well, if you do get that chance, make sure he uses protection. God only knows what that boy has.” “Yeah, like I’ll ever have that chance. Oh, the drink I promised you, we’re going to Dexter’s to get it.” “Okay. But why Dexter’s?” “I just decided to go there. We can hang out there for a while, it isn’t that far from here. And if we have to have a ride, Jamie will give us one.” “Right, you’re friend that works there.” She grins. “Yeah, she always said anytime I needed anything.” Abby laughs. “Well I can’t wait for my beer.” “Come on, lets go talk to some of these other ‘crazy’ people as you would put it.”

Chelsea and Abby walk around and talk with the other fans. As people start to walk toward the door, Ron says, "Before you leave I have an announcement. Mr. Wilson has requested that a few people he met join him for sound check. I'm going to come around and speak to everyone individually and let you know if you were his selected guests. Please be patient as I make my way around the room. If you are one of the selected people I will tell you where to meet me and I will get you a pass." Ron starts walking around the room talking to people. "You're gonna be one of the people he choose," Abby says. "What makes you think that?" "A few things. One, the dress you are wearing. Two, the way he looked at you. He's gonna try to get something off of you. Three, whatever that private conversation was that the two of you had." "You're crazy," Chelsea says to her with a laugh.

Ron walks over to Chelsea and Abby. "Chelsea, you and your guest have been invited by Mr. Wilson to the sound check. When we leave this room, you will turn left, follow down that hall to the end, then take a right. My office is the second door on the right. I will have your passes." Chelsea stands there on shock smiling. Finally she speaks,. "Thank you so much, Ron." "You're welcome. You must have really impressed Mr. Wilson." "What do you mean?" She asks. "He only invited 2 people." "Oh so it's us and one other group of 2?" "No ma'am it's you two." Chelsea starts to open her mouth. "Might I suggest we keep this quiet?" "Right,” she says.

As everyone starts leaving the room, they follow the directions Ron gave her to his office. “Oh my God, Abby.” “Okay, let’s do it this way. You scream now and get it over with. You have to be totally normal in there.” Chelsea jumps up and down. “Careful there, you might fall in those heels. I would hate for you to break an ankle and ruin my evening,” A male voice says. Chelsea turns and looks, its Jake. “Holy shit…” She says. He laughs. “Did you bring other shoes to wear to the show?” He asks her. She stands there, motionless for a moment. “Chels, He is talking to you, speak to the man.” “Don’t go all stupid on me. You seem pretty cool. I’m Jake. Just a dude, not anything special, I’m nothing to get excited over.” “Okay, I’ll do my best. No, I didn’t bring other shoes,” She says. “Well, please be careful. Remember I invited you to that place you told me about.” She smiles. “I will. Would you feel better if I took them off during the show?” “It's up to you, I just don’t want you to break or sprain anything.” “I’ll be careful. Thank you so much for letting us in for sound check.” “Thank you for coming.” He smiles. “I’ve got some things I have to do, but I will see you in 30 minutes for sound check.” He walks off. Abby grabs Chelsea. “Girl, you have to get it together. You can’t keep acting stupid and be able to sleep with him.” “Who said that is where this is going?” “He did,” She says with a laugh, “He said I would hate for you to ruin my evening. He has plans that include alcohol and you.” She smiles. “And I’m okay with that.”

Ron walks up to them. “Sorry to keep you both waiting.” He opens the door to his office and shows you in. He walks over to his desk and gets in a locked drawer. “Here you are. Two passes. I suggest you keep these out of sight unless you are inside the building.” “Thank you.” “Sound check is in 30 minutes. If you come back in the front door, put your pass around your neck. Everyone working will have your name so you should not have any problem. If you do have problems, tell them to call me. Mr. Wilson came to me about having you as his special guest, so I know he is okay with it. Enjoy yourselves,” He says as he shakes both Chelsea and Abby’s hand. They both turn and walk out. “I’m putting my pass in my purse, want me to put your’s there too?” Abby asks Chelsea. “Yes, that would be great. Thanks.” “Where to now?” she asks her. “Ummm… I don’t know. You tell me.” “Do you want to get something to eat?” “I can’t eat.” Chelsea says. “I’ll puke for sure then.” “Okay, so food is out. Want a drink?” “Actually a drink would calm me down a little bit.” “You’re right it would, let’s go.” Abby grabs Chelsea’s arm and they both walk out of the door. “Wanna hit the bar across the street?” “Yeah, lets go.”

They walk across the street and go inside. Chelsea grabs Abby’s arm. “Damn, Nate is right there.” She looks and grins. “Yes he is. So let’s get a couple of beer’s in you,” She says. They walk up to the bar and take a seat. “What can I get for you lovely ladies?” “I’ll take a Michelob Ultra,” Chelsea says. “I’ll take a Bud Light,” Abby says. “Coming right up.” The bartender walks off to get the beers.

Chelsea realizes that several people followed her and Abby to the bar. “Must have figured it was safe if the 2 locals were going in,” Chelsea says. Abby laughs. “I think that is probably the case.” Nate notices the amount of people coming in the door. He pays his tab and walks by Chelsea and Abby. “See you girls.” He says with a smile. “Holy shit, Nate Thompson just said see you girls to us,” Chelsea says. The bartender sits their beers down in front of them. Chelsea takes a long drink. “I’ve got to get this under control.” “Yes you do. We have to be there for sound check you know. And I’m thinking you have plans later,” Abby says as she nudges Chelsea. Chelsea grins. ‘Fuck me. I have plans with Jacob Wilson after the show.’ She takes another long drink. “Wow, that is amazing.” Chelsea says. “Is that beer really that good?” Abby asks Chelsea. “Wait, no, I was talking about my
thought.” Abby laughs. “Are you gonna share it with me?” “Let’s drink and go to the car. I can tell you in there.” They finish their first beer. “Want another one ladies?” the bartender asks. “Yes, I do,” Chelsea says. “Not for me,” Abby says. “Okay, coming up beautiful.” “You’ve got the damn bartender wanting your ass too,” Abby says. He hands Chelsea’s second beer to her. “Thanks,” She says. “You’re very welcome,” He says with a grin. “I’ll cash you out.” He walks over the register and rings up the bills. He walks back over to them and hands Chelsea the bill. She looks at it. “You only charged me for one beer.” He grins. “I’ll cover the other one. And if you agree to go out with me next Friday, I’ll pay for both of your beers and your friends.” Abby speaks up, “She’ll do it.” Chelsea elbows her. “What?” They all laugh. “Okay, it’s a deal. I’m Chelsea.” “Nice to meet you, I’m Trey.” “Okay, Trey, give me your number and I’ll give you a call.” He writes his number down and Chelsea puts it in her phone. He grins. “Thanks.” “Thank you,” She says as she and Abby walk out the door.

“Never gonna call him, are ya?” Abby asks. Chelsea laughs. “Actually I went to school with his sister. And I kinda know him.” “He obviously doesn’t remember you.” “No, I’ve changed a LOT since then,” she says. They both walk back across the street. Chelsea sees a guy walking towards them. “Are you Chelsea?” He asks her. “Yes, I am,” she says. “Good, Nate told me you were at the bar, Jake is waiting for you to start sound check.” “Waiting for me?” She asks, trying to not express the nervousness in her voice. “Yes, he said he had to wait for his friend to get there. He couldn’t start without her. I’m Ben, by the way.” “Nice to meet you Ben, I guess we better not keep Jake waiting.” “Yeah, you know him, he is pretty impatient.” She giggles. “I know him, do I?” She says. “Well, the way he is talking about you, he sounds pretty convincing.” “And you know him well enough to know how he bullshits his way around most everything.” Ben laughs. “That is true.” He leads the way to the door.
